Detroit Tigers have gone Veg*n

So.....I'm here to review the Detroit Tigers home - Comerica Park goes VEG*N!
Here are the critics involved......Goods & Me - one Vegan, one, not so much....of course the one in the orange hat is the Vegan.

Well the game against the Oakland A's started off with a rain delay - that was okay, we were hungry so we decided to find the VEGGIE BURGER to try....
I did my research ahead of time - the veggie burger is located at the Brush Fire Grill by the ferris wheel (ha, and by our seats!)

It came in a burger basket....with lettuce, tomato slice, pickle, a bag of chips and coleslaw....for $ 8.50!

My coleslaw went to Goods....but even Goods got the veggie burger too :-)

We were both impressed with the burger- full of grains and veggies - but I did miss my vegenaise on it (so next time I will sneak that in along with my vodka). T he bun was awesome - too much for me, I didn't eat all the bun.

Then we watched the game, okay I watched more of the people then the game....here are some pixs of the people I watched...They posed for me!

They were obviously Oakland fans - they were actually from Oakland - check out their hats- there were a hoot.....and then here is their Grandfather

I just hope he was from Oakland too.

It was time for Goods and me to walk around and also find a snack..

Everything was very good, but I'm guessing the cocktails swayed that decision. I was totally Glutened out and full, so I just took some pixs of veg*n food signs...

So it was very cool that there were so many choices for me. I can see why they got to be #7 on the Peta list of Veggie Friendly Ball Parks.

Sunny Monday to you....

In the summer I normally do not have fresh flowers inside the house, one- we are never in the house, two- there are plenty of flowers outside that I can enjoy....But Goods bought me these at our favorite roadside market- just beautiful!

I must admit, I have a gift for taking any event, object or situations and make it revolve around food. So Friday, was no different....the Olympics! on 8-8-08, so we ate.... I themed the food around the "Oriental" flavor... Wasbi Peas....

Rice Cracker Mix for a snack

Premeal food also included (premade) veggie spring rolls, of course

Homemade veggie sushi, that included awful brown rice - DON'T USE THAT, get you're butt down to the oriental market and restock on your sticky rice (okay that was directed towards me, not you). As you can see, the basmati brown rice IS NOT STICKY, no matter how much water you add to it....

And for the main food....our favorite Lettuce Wraps, with a side of Lenny....

Sorry for the bad photos; I bought a new point and shoot camera, for carrying convenience and I used it for these, really it wasn't the cocktails, it was really the camera.

Next up...A Vegan at the Detroit Tigers' Game.

PETA has announced that Comerica Park is #7 on their PETA's 2008 Top 10 Vegetarian-Friendly Ballparks....

"Comerica Park (Detroit Tigers) Apparently, even Tigers love veggie burgers, because Comerica Park has cracked PETA's Top 10 for the first time ever! The Tigers are offering veggie burgers, vegetable stir-fries, vegetable fried rice, fruit trays, Mandarin salad, fish-free California rolls, and meatless taco salad. "

Goods and I are going to a Tiger's game Saturday night. We now plan to have dinner at the park instead of a restaurant.....a food review will follow next week. Hopefully they won't strike out and they will score with their veggie burger (vegan too). Gotta run, I'm outta here....
